  • The Cornell Lab of Ornithology has a bird guide search on its All About Birds website. One feature is a link to an eBird map of sightings so you can see where a given species has been recorded.
  • eNature’s Birds & Birding section contains searchable field guides plus regional birding and migration information.
  • The National Geographic’s Backyard Bird Identifier allows you to identify the 150 most common North American  birds by searching location, season, and color.
  • The Idaho Museum of Natural History has a Reference to the Birds of Idaho.
  • The Seattle Audubon Society offers Bird Web, an online guide to the birds of Washington State.
